CASE for Kids City Connections

CASE for Kids City Connections is a collaborative initiative which is funded directly by the City of Houston to support nonprofit organizations that address the need for youth services outside the school day based on communities. Projects are funded by the CASE for Kids. 

City Connections program will take place in each Houston City Council district in a variety of locations such as community centers, schools, and churches.

FUNDING ANNOUNCEMENT - Round 1

These nonprofit organizations have been awarded a 2018-2019 City Connections (CC) grant award.  Funding for the City Connections project is provided by the City of Houston and administered by the Center for Afterschool, Summer and Enrichment for Kids or CASE for Kids, a division of Harris County Department of Education.  A total of 109 applications were received requesting $1,297,875 in funding.  Eleven district council members award $45,000 each, in funding for CC grants.  Please note, as indicated by the asterisk symbol (*), some council districts exercised their option to increase their overall grants budget this year.  The organizations listed below will provide diverse activities for youth after school including fine arts, academic enrichment, college exploration, and youth mentoring.  Congratulations to all grant recipients!  We are grateful to the City of Houston for their investment and support of out-of-school time programming here in Houston, TX.

FUNDING ANNOUNCEMENT - Round 2 - City Council District B


These nonprofit organizations have been awarded a 2018-2019 City Connections (CC) grant award; Funding for the City Connections project is provided by the City of Houston and administered by the Center for Afterschool, Summer and Enrichment for Kids or CASE for Kids, a division of Harris County Department of Education.  City Council District B had $30,000 in funds not disbursed previously. Applications that were received on the November 16th, 2018 deadline, had a request of $90,400 in funding for the Round 2 Request for Proposals (RFP). The organizations listed below will provide diverse activities for youth after school including engineering, STEM, and entrepreneurship. Congratulations to all grant recipients! We are grateful to the City of Houston for their investment and support of out-of-school time programming here in Houston, TX.
