CASE for Kids City Connections


CASE for Kids City Connections is a new initiative funded directly by the City of Houston to support nonprofit organizations and school districts that address
the need for youth services outside the school day. Projects funded by the CASE for Kids City Connections program will take place in each Houston city
 council district in a variety of locations, including schools, community centers, and churches.


City Connections Grant Term II Funding Announcement

 

Harris County Department of Education’s Center for Afterschool, Summer and Enrichment (CASE) for Kids, received a total of 115 City Connections applications requesting a total of $817,000 for the January 2016 application deadline.  For Grant Term II, approximately 4,000 youth will receive out-of-school time programming at more than 100 sites in Houston.  Organizations awarded City Connections funds provide diverse out-of-school time activities, such as fine arts, academic enrichment, college exploration, and fitness classes to youth throughout the city of Houston.
